How FINN Partners Streamlined Daily Briefings Through Strategic Partnership

“Our engagement with Fullintel has allowed us to save our client’s money and time for our team.”

– Jessica Lise, Partner, FINN Partners

The Client

FINN Partners is a New York City-based global integrated marketing and PR agency that provides a range of PR and marketing services, from advertising and brand strategy to investor relations, influencer marketing, and crisis communications.

The firm has been named one of the Best PR Firms in America by The Observer every year from 2022 to 2025.

At a glance:

FINN Partners, a global integrated marketing and PR agency, provides a major international pharmaceutical company with early morning daily news briefings each day.

  • The global nature of the pharmaceutical company’s business meant that FINN Partners had a team of three different offices working on the briefings, with the New York City office taking point every morning at around 4 a.m.—a demanding
    and unrealistic workflow.
  • After engaging Fullintel in Q4 2024, Fullintel partnered with FINN to produce daily news briefings through its expert media monitoring services for clients.
  • Now, FINN Partners’ internal teams have reclaimed valuable hours each day— while gaining access to Fullintel’s executive news briefings at less than half the cost of producing them in-house.

The Challenge: Delivering Daily News Briefings Without Staying Up All Night

FINN Partners prides itself on its accuracy, ability to deliver, global reach, and subject matter expertise in various business verticals, including pharmaceuticals.

However, the demanding workflow involving three regional offices and the agency’s main analysts having to start their day at 4 a.m., or earlier, made crafting and delivering the client’s email briefings in-house an increasingly difficult and unsustainable proposition, especially as demands and needs for the report continued to increase.

The need for reliable, accurate, early-morning daily briefings

As the account evolved, the team proactively explored solutions that would be more sustainable and cost-effective for both the client and the agency—leading to the adoption of Fullintel’s executive briefing service.

“There was a little bit of unsustainability to it,” explains Jessica Lise, who oversees the account.

  • However, any partner company the agency brought into the account needed to provide the same level of accuracy, subject matter expertise, and visual customization to which the customer had grown accustomed.
  • While the agency recognizes the value of AI and automation in enhancing scale and efficiency, it prioritizes solutions that blend technology with expert human insight to meet the complexity of client needs.

The need to optimize costs

FINN Partners is committed to optimizing costs and creating efficiencies for its clients. To support this, the team partnered with Fullintel to streamline the initial stages of executive brief production—freeing up internal resources to focus on high-value customization and client specific insights.

Having a partner who could do much of the heavy lifting off FINN Partners’ hands was important to reducing costs for the agency and its client.

The need for technical and subject matter know-how

“The ability to understand, code, and format with HTML and other formats was crucial, because it’s amazing how many technological snags that can crop up,” she says. “Not every vendor can do that.”

The agency also required a media monitoring partner with deep subject matter expertise in the pharmaceutical business, including the use of industry vernacular and a sense of what’s important in the industry—a must-have when writing for executives.

The need for flexibility

News happens quickly. As with any executive news briefing program, last-minute items often arise that must be rapidly added to the client’s morning brief before it goes out.

  • Given the vast amount of time spent on the brief each morning, adding those last-minute items could sometimes leave the agency’s in-house team scrambling.
  • The agency’s team needed a reliable vendor to lessen the load each morning, allowing FINN Partners to handle last-minute updates more easily.

The Solution: A Responsive Partner With Deep Pharma Subject Matter Expertise

After meeting Fullintel Head of Insights Angela Dwyer at the Fierce Pharma Summit, agency leaders became intrigued by Fullintel’s capabilities. Needless to say, they liked what they heard.

“We were just really impressed by their ability and global reach. They have a global team that works ahead of the clock, so to speak.”

FINN Partners vetted Fullintel extensively—both internally and externally—before choosing the media monitoring agency as their long-term partner in Q4 2024.

High-quality, reliable, early-morning daily briefings

Removing hours from FINN Partners’ schedule has made it easier the ability to scale, while still meeting the high standards the agency had originally established.

“It was really important for us to find a partner that understood what we were trying to do, and not just produce another report,” explains Lise. “These reports guide their most senior leadership, and our standards are high, so it took a lot for us to commit to a partner.”

Lise says Fullintel strikes the perfect balance between automation and human curation. Fullintel’s analysts curate all media in a brief, but use supervised AI and automation tools where appropriate to boost efficiency.

“There are certain things that require a level of nuance, or the understanding of what clients want to see and don’t want to see—and Fullintel has that understanding. That’s a huge differentiator.”

Optimized Agency Monitoring Costs

The FINN Partners team in NYC, Israel, and the U.K. now spends about ½ of the time on the client’s briefings than it spent originally—good for a more than 50% cost savings over the previous approach.

Technical and Subject Matter Expert Knowledge

Fullintel’s team hit it out of the park in terms of both technical and subject matter knowledge, with analysts able to speak the industry’s language. Fullintel also created an HTML briefing template that can easily be updated or tweaked.

“Fullintel’s team has an understanding of the subject matter of the client and their therapeutic areas,” she says. “Fullintel really was up to snuff from our point of view in terms of understanding what needed to be gathered, and how it needed to be gathered seamlessly.

“And for the brief, there’s custom branding, color, and spacing to it. That requires an understanding of how to embed that. So it’s nice to have support from people who just know how to do that.”

A flexible, responsive team

The accuracy and care provided by Fullintel means FINN Partners doesn’t have to spend as much time reviewing briefings, giving them far greater flexibility to react to late-breaking news items.

“We’re able to jump on those things right away without having to scramble,” she says. “It gives us the ability to focus our attention when these things happen.”

Daily News Briefings: Executive Deliverables

  • Fullintel delivers a daily executive news brief each morning at 7:30 Eastern for FINN Partners.
  • The briefing is sent to around 1,600 recipients and covers several major topics, including corporate news, key industry developments, therapeutic areas, competitor news, and policy/regulatory news.
  • Senior leadership uses the briefings to help inform business decisions, and the pharmaceutical company’s communications teams use them to understand media trends, reputation, which spokespeople are being quoted, and the best ways to conduct proactive media outreach.

The Result: Half of the Time Spent, at More Than 50% Cost Savings

FINN Partners’ engagement with Fullintel has provided the agency with the same level of executive news briefings quality and consistency, at a far lighter internal lift and a fraction of the cost it took to produce internally:

  • The agency now spends around 50% of the time on the client’s briefings that had been devoted to the account previously.
  • The added efficiency means significantly less cost for both FINN Partners and the client, creating a win-win.
  • Fullintel’s customer service team conducts regular check-ins to gauge feedback and implement it immediately, ensuring constant alignment.

Lise says the reduction in internal time spent has resulted in FINN Partners having more bandwidth to focus on other value-added tasks for the client and strategically expand the account.

This collaboration shows how Fullintel’s daily news briefings helped reduce costs and free up internal resources while maintaining quality.
